If your ministry or church doesn’t reflect the model Jesus Christ demonstrated during His time on earth—marked by signs, wonders, and miracles—then it’s time to ask: Are we truly following Him, or are we simply talking about Him?
Jesus didn’t just teach; He demonstrated. He healed the sick, cast out demons, raised the dead, and brought Heaven to Earth through the power of the Holy Spirit. Yet many churches today are content with group studies, polished programs, and strategic visions, believing that more attendees mean more success.
But is that really the heart of God?
The church was never meant to be a social club or a weekly event. It is a living, breathing body that should reflect Heaven’s heartbeat on Earth. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” (John 14:12, NLT). This wasn’t just a suggestion—it was an invitation to walk in the supernatural, just like He did.
If the Holy Spirit isn’t present—if miracles aren’t happening, if lives aren’t being transformed, if Heaven isn’t touching Earth—then no matter how excellent the music or how gifted the speaker, it’s just a well-organized event. It’s a concert. A seminar. Not the church Jesus died for.
The Apostle Paul reminds us, “For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20, NLT). Power. Not programs. Presence. Not performance.
Let’s be a generation that doesn’t just preach about revival but lives in it.
